Section: Nature Boy - Can Can
*Does anyone think that guy with they long hair and striped shirt in Montmarte looks like Uncle Jesse from Full House?
*"Don't know if that Duke's gonna get his money's worth tonight!"
"Don't be unkind, Nini!"
Does Mome Fromage know NOTHING about Nini?
Section: Poetry Reading
* "A little supper? Maybe some champagne?"
I LOVE the way she says "champagne just there!
* I also love the way they just leave your imagination running after the "Big Boy!" comment...
* "Unbelievable! Straight to the elephant!"
Well, Toulouse... did ya see the guy? I don't blame her!
* Notice the way when "Your Song" ends and Christian says "I'm not a duke, I'm a writer" and he still tries to kiss her..."a writer?" and he says "yes" so proudly, and he is so confused why shes upset.. its so adorable!
* "The pleasure, I fear, will be entirely mine, my dear."
Ooo.. not only is he powerful, but he can rhyme, too!
* When Christian hides under the red curtain - which only covers his eyes - maybe he has the philosophy that if he can't see them, they can't see him!
* Don't you think that the Duke would have tried to see who opened the door?
* The Duke seems so "sexy" when Satine asks him if he knows the effect he has on women!
* Even though shes fainted, Christian still manages to hold Satine in a romantic position.
Section: The Pitch
*"The story's about..Toulouse" ... and his exciting career as a sitar! (if you don't get it, its not because your dumb, its because its corny. Please forgive me)
*Christian is so proud of himself for coming up with the idea of the play being set in India!
*The look the Duke gives Christian after he says "But her kingdom is invaded by an evil marjarajah" in very evil, huh. Who's our little evil genious?
*I'm curious to know what the Magical Sitar (Toulouse) was going to say about the Duke...anyone else?
*"It's a little bit funny..tis feeling inside" The Duke can not only rhyme, but sing, too!
*I wonder how John Leguizamo (Toulouse) could be on his knees in real life (supposed to be on his feet as Toulouse) and still be taller that Jacek Koman (Argentinean), who is also on his knees, when they sing "The hills are alive...with the sound of music.." during The Pitch. If any of you are confused by that, don't worry. It's not all that important..its just my insessent rambling. My apologies.
*"and in the end, should someone die?"
Do I detect foreshadowing???
Section: One Day I'll Fly Away - Elephant Love Medley
*How cool is it that Toulouse and Christian have a ladder connecting their apartments? (the ladder goes through the hole that the Argentinean fell through)
*How many guys do you know that would climb up an elephant's butt to thank you? Only a mere few.
* "Silly of me, to think that you could fall in love with someone like me"
Silence. Now, Satine, that was DEFINATLY the WRONG answer.
* "Get down! Get down!"
"You're not my mom!"
* "You...you will be mean..and I'll, I'll drink all the time"
That girl needs some better excuses!
Section: Come What May - Roxanne
*Come What May is so beautiful *So is Ewan *Christian wears Satine's pink robe when he reads her his poetry! * When Christian wears the suspenders (with no shirt!), and the hat, he looks so cute! I love love love that part! * Satine has to catch herself from looking at Christian and looks back and forth from the Argentinean and Christian (I personally don't blame her!) * Look for where Christian looks down and scratches his neck -- when he looks up and smiles, its so cute. My friend Alyssa says this is the hottest part of him in the movie. I don't think its half bad, either! * When Christian nods his head and smiles when they finish singing, I melt! He looks so adorable! * I LOVE when the Duke circles his hand when he says "majarajah". It is hilarious! When I went to Disney World, there is a tour in the Animal Kingdom named "Majarajah Trek". My friend and I would do that hand motion everytime we talked about it!
Section: Roxanne - Spectacular, Spectacular
*Everytime I see Christian say "I don't want you to sleep with him" I want to cry with him! * Sorry...nothing funny about Roxanne. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen to write something down. * Chocolat is such the "Token Black Guy" in this movie! (Even if it is a period musical, every movie has one!) He caught Satine when she fainted, he knew to slip away from the "party" during Roxanne (how he knew to leave, I'llnever know...), he punched to Duke and knew to take Satine to Christian's garret. Gotta love him! ~My brother said "That guy's really nice. He's like her guardian angel" So true!~ * I think there are other ways to save Christian than to hurt him. Zidler's just stupid. * Sorry not many comments about this section. I really have to watch it and these parts are where I get into the emotions of the movie the most - where Christian becomes jealous and sad...ok..anyways... *People say that after Toulouse's little speech to Christian, that he reaches for the doorknob and they don't know how he'd do that if he was short. But, a person that is 4"11 (a friend of mine is that height), is still taller than a doorknob
Section: Spectacular, Spectacular - Death Scene
*Zidler turns around (when hes sitting on the edge of the stage, facing the show) and looks at the Duke. Then, the shot is taken back to the stage and you see his back. Then, the shot changes again, back to Zidler turned around. Do I detect a mistake??? (don't worry, its like the only one I can find..the movie's near perfect) *The hand thing Satine does after she coughs looks really cool! * Why sisn't Christian do the pelvic thrust when he said "Thank you for curing me of my ridiculous obsession with love!", like he did when he was practicing that scene with Satine? *Chocolat looks good in blue! * It sounds beautiful when Christian sings "Come What May" all 4 times, but, come on, man, I think we get the picture! (That the first and only time I will put him down in this movie, I swear!!!!!) * When Satine sings "One day I'll fly away" and Christian sings "My gift is my song" during the finale, the sound sooo awesome! I love that part! *With his punch, and her kicks, Zidler and Nini make themselves part of the light side * I guess Werner has Christian's same philosophy with hiding - if you can't see them, they can't see you (when he "hid" behind the tambourine) * Again, nothing funny about the death scene. All I have to say id that he is one devoted boyfriend for his emotional outbreak. (and one heck of an actor!! But, then again, we all knew that)
